Alan is honest and capable. On many occasions, he has gone out of his way to save repair costs by finding replacement parts from his stock, instead of ordering them. On occasions when he easily could jack up the price without my knowing, he has refused to do so. (He did one brake repair for me for $1.38--the cost of a missing nut.) He has taken reponsibility to force major manufacturers to accept warranty responsibility for defective parts when it would have been easier to saddle me with the charge. After dealing with him for almost 10 years, I unhesitatingly recommend him. He's not the cheapest in Wilmington, but he's one of the best. His motto, as he told me once, is "There's too much money to be made in this business by being honest. I have no reason to cheat anyone."
