They take the time to repair the part, as opposed to replacing units, and are always able to make me understand what went (or is going) wrong

They are particularily stong on cars that the general mechanic can't handle - balancing the carbs on an Aston Longonda, understanding the weirdness of a 67 Austin Cooper 1275 S, Fixing - not just replacing - a 1990 Range Rover and a '99 Discovery. They actually told me NOT to repair my mothers Pontiac Grand Am as replacing the engine would not be cost effective - and for NOT saying "I told you so" when they were proved right! For work they don't do such as exhaust systems or Transmission rebuilds, they send you to shops that have a good reputation and are resonably priced - Good Guys!

They have somehow kept my 12 year old landcruiser with 180,000 miles running even when they have suggested strongly that I buy another vehicle
