We have been taking our cars to Gary for about 20 years, and think of him as the family car doctor. We even followed him to JP Motors from the previous shop where he used to work. He is highly skilled, completely honest, and likes to explain everything to his customers in extreme detail. He loves to work on Volvos, but is also willing to work on my husband's 10 year old pickup and my 9 year old Toyota. We feel totally satisfied with Gary's professionalism, and we enjoy him as a person as well. You couldn't do any better! We recommend him to everyone.

Gary is a superb mechanic, and totally honest. He is not inexpensive because he is compulsively thorough, which means that he can take time with repairs that is reflected in the bills.

What sort of ``biased customer''? I marked `biased' because I'm so totally happy with their service. If you get there with a real emergency, Gary will often leave his current job to take care of you, even if it takes a couple of hours. Understand, I never wanted to submit him here, for the same reason you don't want your favorite little restaurant reviewed---you don't want to have it overrun. But, since he's here already... This comment covers the collective experiences of five owners and maintenance of (at best count) six Volvos, plus a Saturn and a Plymouth. (He kicked us out of the Plymouth because it was so rusted out it was an active danger. He managed to get 200k out of it, though.)

Our '86 Mercedes 300E is still ticking thanks to JP Motors. Lot of windows, seats, muffler, oil leak, radiator, alternator & minor drive train problems plus the usual maintenance - but it is a runner & beats a $400/month payment. Totally honest & perceptive, tells you of problems you weren't aware of. Bought a Saab maintained by them without hesitation to upgrade the fleet. Good hourly rates compared to Fairfield County so it is worth the drive over.
