I brought my 03 Toyota Matrix to Autobody Unlimited for extensive body work following an accident. The shop was a little out of my way but I'm so glad I followed a personal recommendation and went there. The owner, Ed, is such a pro -- friendly and funny, and also did a beautiful job. A couple weeks after getting the car back I had a major electrical short (head and taillights, some interior/dash lights). I brought it back (they do all kinds of mechanical work as well, but specialize in body work) and they quickly traced and fixed the problem. Also, I've got to say, the office is immaculate and full of fun vintage car memorabilia. Maybe that sounds like a trivial point -- I've certainly been to great mechanics whose waiting rooms consist of the busted up backseat of a car set on cinder blocks and a pot of coffee from the mid-70s, but I just get the sense that Ed's meticulous approach to his outer office applies to his standards behind the scenes.
