The Wacko Young Man in His Flying Machine
This week on Car Talk, Ed in Pennsylvania needs to choose an engine for the airplane he's building in his garage. The phone lines at Plane Talk must've been busy, because he's seeking guidance from Tom and Ray. Will Tom and Ray suggest the cheaper engine, even if it means an occasional mid-air stall? Meanwhile, Mary in Milwaukee loves her new vintage Ford Galaxy, except for the little problem that it doesn't like to run in cold weather. Also, guilt-racked Cindy wonders if she cooked her engine driving in a post-carbon-monoxide-poisoned daze; David in Brookline, MA, needs help de-crowifying his Saab; and is a trip to the Giggle Hut the secret to good health? All this and more, on this week's encore edition of Car Talk.

Irreconcilable Road Trip
This week, a very memorable Stump the Chumps. We check in with that (once) happily married couple about their cross-country trip - with an in-law in tow. Linda?s windshield wipers seem to have a mind of their own. Does she need a mechanic-- or an exorcist? Do Americans have more road rage than Italians? How do Sicilians keep their cool when everybody drives so badly? Plus, find out another creative use for duct tape, and hear the coolest Chevy vanity plate of all time. That, and more, on this week's edition of Car Talk.

A few new words for the Car Talk glossary, including the sound of two brothers? uproarious laughter and the meaning of Fartvergnugen, and more.

One Brother Too Many?
Does the world really need a Click AND a Clack? Tom and Ray mull over a listener?s request for a 50% reduction in Magliozzis-- but who should get the ax? Becky wants to park her Miata on the other side of the garage ? but she?ll have to find a place for all her husband?s redneck gear first. (Anyone want a set of caribou horns?) Jim?s ?96 Cadillac sounds like a sick cow when it starts. He's looking for a cure for the chronic Caddy cough. Plus, is Rob?s child-safe door shut for good? This, and more.

Also, find out how Tina?s 40th birthday present landed her upside-down in a Honda CRV and how the Tappet brothers drive a wedge into a perfectly good marriage.
