I had brought my '85 Tercel to Doug for over 13 years until its untimely death this past year at around 210,000 miles. He has been the consummate professional and his staff is extraordinarily competent. Everything that needed to be fixed was perfectly and anything that could wait a few months without breakdown danger, they let me know that it wasn't an immediate repair. I love these guys -- they were very sensitive in telling me about the demise of my car -- which they new I was pathetically attached to. I was given an '87 Suburban which I love for the macho effect (being female) but not the gas factor -- hey, free is free. My biggest regret is that Doug and company do not work on this make. They did recommend a mechanic who does and who has the same work ethic. Anyone who brings a Toyota or similar chevy knock off to Middletown Toyota will become lifelong customers. I can't say enough about this crew and look forward to the day I buy a hybrid gas/electric so I can return.

These guys are honest, fair, and usually do a good job the first time. My allegiance to Toyota is largely based on the quality of this particular service center. As in any long-term relationship, there have been some bumps in the road. Like when they broke something on my truck while repairing another part. It took four days to get it fixed. After the second day, Doug gave me his truck a loaner. Their mechanics are really concerned about getting the job done right. I had one instance where the service rep felt that my car had been adequately repaired, but the mechanic insisted that things weren't completely right. They kept it for another day, replacing an expensive part at no additional charge.

I took my Toyota Celica to them for two years for every service item. They know the Celica very well and do a great job working with me as a customer. Manny the shuttle driver is a nice guy and if you don't take the shuttle they have a comfortable waiting room. I think the price of dealer service is probably higher than an independent shop, however the ability to trust the shop is paramount for me and I am willing to pay a premium for that. Have now sold the Celica but would recommend them to anyone, especially a Toyota owner.
