I took my 1999 Ford Exploder to "another place" about my tranny slipping. They said I needed a new tranny. I then took my baby to Summit Transmissions. They replaced a computer sensor for $125 and my baby ran great after that (and still does) Thanks Summit Transmission!!

I am extremely pleased with the work that was done on my car. Jerry and his team made the correct diagnosis and fixed the problem quickly. Summit provides great service at a reasonable price. My only complaint is that my car was returned with grease on the interior and exterior. With that being said, I would recommend this shop to anyone in need of a transmission service.

The better half and I took her car in thinking we would have to get a new or rebuild transmission ( her lincoln had no power in over drive and the engine would just run fast) we got to talking to the young lady at the desk and the owner was in his office in just a few minutes the owner came out and starting talking to us and we told him what the problem was he again asked the make and year of the car at that point he smiled and said lets go look at your car it could be just a $20 dollar fix and not a $1500 dollar fix We opened the hood and in a matter of two minetes he had the car fixed . We took it for a test drive and everthing was perfect. We have never been treated so well at a shop before and We will take all are transmission problems to SUMMIT TRANSMISSIONS

Jerry, the owner, took me and my car on an extensive test drive to diagnose any problem. The evaluation was free. While I was willing to pay for any work he may have recommended, his evaluation was that there was not a need for any work at this time.

I've been a customer of Summit since 2003 and I recommend them highly. Out of the three times I took my truck in, two times there was no charge because it was either not a problem or it was an engine problem (which was alleviated by a $9 fuel additive that Jerry recommended I buy at an auto parts store). Everything gets explained to me and I always leave with a better understanding of my truck and how to care for it. This shop is in the business of fixing transmissions, they do a great job, and go the extra mile.

Jerry personifies honesty, integrity, and expertise. When my 92 Mitsubishi was having transmission problems Summit Transmissions was highly recommended. Jerry explained everything to me in terms I could understand. He gave me a few options and time to make a decision based on all the facts. He rebuilt my transmission at a reasonable price and gave me a two year warranty. When a problem arose just a few days before the warranty expired he immediately took care of it with no question and no cost to me. A problem arose after the warranty period and I called Jerry. His only concern was to find the problem and fix it. My car was towed to Summit Transmissions and he not only repaired the car at no cost....due to low mileage...he rented a car for me for two days at his expense, and gave me an additional 90 day/3,000 mile warranty. It is so rare in this day and age to find someone like Jerry who genuinely cares about people and helps them... and runs a successful business. I wouldn't trust anyone else to take care of my car.

I own a restored 1969 Mustang with extensive high performance modifications. I was having occasional problems shifting the TREMEC 5-speed manual transmission into first, third and fifth gears....everything "above" neutral. The speed shop I usually frequent gave up after a few tries at fixing the problem and suggested I give SUMMIT TRANSMISSIONS an opportunity to affect the repairs. I called the shop, and Jerry patiently gave me some specific symptoms to look for while driving the car to better enable him to diagnose the transmission problem. Once I arrived at the shop, my car was test driven, Jerry gave me extensive pricing information and explained when the car would be ready. Since Jerry also owns a restored 60's Mustang, he gave me assurances my car would be locked in his shop at night and left on a hydraulic rack so no harm would befall the automobile while in his care. Afterwards, his wife drove me to a local mass transit center and took another customer to his nearby home. I was impressed with their willingness to go above and beyond the perfunctory customer service offered by many modern day commercial vendors. I ACTUALLY FELT LIKE I WAS THE CUSTOMER AND THEY WERE GLAD TO HAVE MY BUSINESS! The repair was preformed on time and under the quoted cost. I cannot compliment this small business owner enough for his commitment to quality service, his honesty and integrity. Summit Transmissions is the best and I would unhesitatingly recommend this shop to folks in need of other manual or automatic transmission repairs.

I took my 95K mi 2002 Nissan Quest in for a suspected transmission/ torque converter problem (hard engagement from stop and under high demand acceleration during gear change). I thought it was the TQ Xverter and was prepared to pay $750 to $1,000, without Q's, turns out I had a broken engine mount which was the source of the bumps. They replaced the mount and changed the Xmission fluid (on my Req) and filter for $305 in less than a day. I was very happy with service and would recommend them to anyone. I found them on the Car-talk web page.

I was told by another shop that my transmission was bad, and they could rebuild it for $2500. I took my '92 Toyota to Summit, and they said it was not the transmission, just some worn out parts which they replaced while I waited.
