It may be a "little shop" but they do great work, value their customers very highly, and are respectful of budjets. If they spen 5 hours diagnosing something, they usually decide that they "just can't charge that much" and bill for 3 hours instead, for example. These guys reall know their stuff, and no corners ar cut by using "cheap parts". I highly recommend them if you own a Volvo, Mercedes Benz, or a BMW. They are even authorized for warranty work for 12,000 miles or one year.

Tim and the gang are great. My father started going to him and then I joined in later. The service has always been outstanding!

I drive all the way down there from Belvidere because their service is worth it. Not only they have an outstanding customer service, but their prices are always very reasonable.

I brought in my Volvo with a challenging problem, and Tim and crew had to really pick the problem apart before solving it. The check engine light on the car has gone on and off for years, the dealer would "fix" something, charge me lots of money, and a few weeks or months later, the light would go on again - after a few visits and tinkering, North Pointe figured out that it was my fuel regulator and fixed it. No more warning light, and the car runs better than ever.

I first experienced North Pointe's service on my second high mileage Mercedes Benz when I lived 7 miles from their shop. I wish I had found Tim and his crew earlier. I now have a high mileage Mercedes (purchased new) and have moved north to Lake County. Since the car is now out of warranty, it only visits North Pointe for repair. I would not take it anywhere else. The use of original equipment parts and their dedication to economical and excellent service are unmatched.

I just got my 220,000 mile car back from them after a $3400.00 repair, and I do not feel taken at all. Car runs better than ever, and they went the extra mile to look for anything out of the ordinary while in the tranny and clutch to make sure they did not have to go in again unnecessarily in a few months. Better to do it now, rather than pay for more labor again to do something in the same place. I would not hesitate to send anyone there regardless of what car they own!
