Reviewers Comments:

Dunn's is a family-owned shop where we have had eight vehicles serviced from minor repairs and check-ups to major engine replacements and air-conditioner overhauls. They are fair, explain the work needed, and they have been honest in their dealings with us over the years. They have even come to our home to jump-start our car and change our son's tire when he was stranded. This is the only car repair shop you will ever need. They work on all models.

I have been bringing my cars to Dunn's for all five years I've lived in Waco (an older Honda which needed more maintenance and now my 2003 Hyundai). I recommend them to everyone I know, so I have a number of friends who go to Dunn's as well, and everyone I know has been pleased with the service. The prices are always reasonable, the estimates reliable, the service dependable, the staff honest, friendly, and approachable. And most importantly, they've kept my cars in good condition and never suggest unecessary repairs. I took my '91 Honda in to be checked for a vague problem a few years ago, and when they could find nothing wrong, they didn't charge me a diagnostic fee, telling me to bring it back if the problem continued--the car was fine for another 30 thousand miles. I also appreciate that they treat women well: they listen carefully and explain things well, and even my female friends who do not know much about their cars have been happy with the treatment they recieved.

Dunns has worked on a number of vehicles for my family. We were new to the area about five years ago, and took the advise of about five different friends and went to Dunns. They have always been fair and honest. They answer all questions we could ever have, and even if they do not do the type of repair (which are few and far inbetween) we know the shop they reccommend will be just as reputable as they are. They have worked on a number of different vehicles for us, with the same satisfying result every time.

I walked through their doors unbiased, but I have become a customer for life. When the clutch went out on my 2000 Volkswagon beetle , Cecil Dunn was so shocked by the cost of replacing the clutch and the flywheel that he couldn't say the words. He had to write it down for me! I have always appreciated the way that business has looked out for my interest!

I am a biased customer, but only because I have been so pleased with their work that I keep going back. Their prices are very fair and more than once I've taken a car in and they've looked at it, but if they didn't end up doing any work, they wouldn't charge me. They always seem to work quickly, too. I'll show up in the morning after such-and-such happened last night, so I don't have an appointment. They always get my car to me by the end of the day, unless they can't get a part. Great shop with a friendly, helpful staff.

They've done the brakes on my Toyota Sienna and repaired the air conditioning on my wife's Honda CR-V. Both times I was 100% pleased with the price and service. They took considerable time to search out alternatives to the expensive Honda parts to save my wife several hundred dollars on her air conditioning repair which pleased me. One quirk about this shop is that they don't do appointments. It's entirely first-come, first-served every day. Works for me. Show up when they open at 7 and you get your car first in line that day. Mr. Dunn told me they've tried appointments, and it was just more trouble than it was worth.
