Reviewers Comments:

Great people to do business with! Estimates are realistic, repair work is done correctly, and the car is ready when promised.

Lou and the guys have been servicing my BMW for some time now. I got refered to them from another shop who was having trouble diagnosing my problem. They had me back on the road again in less than half a day, and for $85 less than they quoted. I know that they are honest, and are very friendly toward women. I recommend these guys to all my friends.

Lou Lippert has been an auto Repair Icon around Ann Arbor for 20+ Years. Now he has his own shop. He is honest, and works on most makes of cars. He has serviced my vehicles for years, and has always done a great job at a fair price. He bends over backwards to make sure that you're satisfied. He fixes what other shops can't. I don't ever take my vehicles anywhere else.

Lou is very honest and respectful. He will do great work at a reasonable price. I highly recommend his shop.

I had some issues with other shops in Ann Arbor, and am really glad that I found Lou Lippert and the team at Convenience Auto. I have been taking all my cars there for the past year now, and they have really gone the extra mile for me. They give me a ride to work when I need it, and they never exceed their estimate of time or money. They also seem to get it right the first time, which isn't always true of other shops in town. I have recommended Convenience Auto to all of my friends. They are honest, affordable, and friendly.

They helped me out after I tried to fix it myself and decided I did not have the propper tools. Other shops would not even talk to me about my problum! Thanks!

I got to know of Lou when I bought my car new in ?95 when he was the service manager for the dealer. At that time the dealership had a reputation of having one of the best service departments in the area and my experience coincided with that. After the dealership was sold, Lou was suddenly gone. Their service went from fantastic to almost nonexistent for me. I scoured the web looking for Lou and found that he had opened Convenience Auto Service. It?s great having Lou and his crew doing the service on my vehicle that I decide not to do. Despite my cars age, they do great work and I don?t feel the need to pop the hood or crawl underneath to make sure they did a good job.

We've found Conveinence Auto to be a user friendly business. Up front with us whenever they have done a repair and educating us when we have had questoins. Great place!!!

These guys are good. I switched about a year ago after having problems with the local Honda dealer. They have handled my in warranty maintenance on my newer Honda, and do all the work on my Pilot, which is out of warranty. They seem to have a knack for solving tough problems, and their prices are very low compared to the dealer. I send all my friends here now. They also have a shuttle, and as I work at UM, they can drive me to work the days they work on my car. Very customer oriented.

Great car repair shop/ Very friendly -- and HONEST -- people. Very trustworthy.

I got the shop name from the Car Talk web site. The folks at the shop fixed the car correctly the first time. My daughter goes to U of M and finding local service for her car is a challenge. These guys did a great job, were honest, and honored their estimate. They also offered repair alternatives for cost effectiveness.

Took 2005 Honda CRV to Honda Dealership. For the second time the same sales"person" was condescending and rude. This person and his boss couldn't agree on what brake work needed to be done. Sales"person" wanted $455+. Didn't have the work done. Supervisor didn't charge for "inspection." Took it to Bill at Convenience (based on comments received on CarTalk). He said I had plenty of wear left on my brakes and recommended that I could go another six months to a year. Charged me $45 for inspection. Well worth it! I'll be a return customer!

These guys are the best! It's getting harder and harder to find businesses who really know how to treat their customers. Lou and his team set the standard!!

I am so happy to finally have found a reliable repair shop that fixes the problem the first time! The prices are reasonable and they treat women with respect.

--reviewer #103998, 2007

These guys are super honest: They've told me NOT to get work done that I thought I needed; they've patched/repaired problems when they could have sold me a new part; they've sent me to the dealership when the realized a $2000 repair might be covered by recall/extended warranty; they've always given me the cheapest estimate (though I admit that I stopped getting estimates from different shops after about the 5th time they came back the lowest); and I've never had to take a car back in for the same repair twice. They're amazing.

The fixed our "squeal" within a couple hours of our dropping the car off, and for a fraction of the price quoted by the dealer (and even under their own initial quote!)

excellent shop - really nice guys, very prompt, very reasonable, excellent work, honest, highly recommended

All the other reviews have it nailed: Lou and his team are simply the best, hands-down. Their knowledge, service and commitment to the customer are unsurpassed. He has worked on my cars for the past 11 years (when he was at the Dealer and now at his own shop) and for as long as he's around I will never go anywhere else. The problem is always fixed right the first time at a fair price.

I have taken my cars into Convenience Auto on several occasions. My car is always returned to me on time and as scheduled; the bills never exceed the estimates; and it only takes one trip to Convenience Auto to fix whatever the problem is. As a woman, I have always been treated with respect, and the staff answers every question I have. Whenever someone asks me to suggest an auto service business, I highly recommend Convenience Auto.
