Reviewers Comments:
Phil is an honest, up front, guy who's trying to make an honest living in a less than honorable profession. He succeeds and I always go back with my next car problem.

Phil is very good about telling me exactly what is
necessary and what is not necessary to fix. He explains
the procedure so that I can tell co-workers the specifics
and I sound like I know what I'm talking about.

My car died mysteriously in traffic and them started up
about 10 minutes later. The same thing happened a couple
weeks later but then it continued dieing and then starting
up after waiting a few minutes. I barely got it into P & P
Auto Repair?s parking lot in the evening when they were
closed, and left it overnight with a note in the early bird
key drop box asking them to fix it. The next day they
called me and said they first checked out the computer
error codes and they were okay, and then got the car to
start again by moving the wires around to the computer.
Apparently there was a loose electrical connection
somewhere in a wiring harness. They didn?t locate the
individual wire that had the problem, but if it happens
again at least I?ll know what it is and can try jiggling or
pushing in the wiring harness plugs to try to fix it. My
car hasn?t had the problem since then (six months ago). P
& P Auto Repair got my car working the next day after I
dropped it off at night without an appointment, which was
very much appreciated since it is my only car. They
charged me 1/2 hour labor.

Phil and the guys kept my Subaru running long beyond its prime but when it was time to let it go they said so -- rather emphatically. When I drive by the shop or see them at the donut shop they are always glad to see me, even tho they don't work on my new car (too much computerized crud). They still keep my husband's 20 yer old Corolla running -- while constantly reminding him that its time to give it up. They don't do "check it over and fix everything that's wrong." They respond to symptoms and don't try to invent problems. When I threw my back out they came to the house (granted its only around the corner) and picked up my car and brought it back and let me pay when I was up and around again. My husband has been taking cars to him ever since he's been in business. Now all my friends go there too.

I went to P&P for the first time after reading comments here
on Car Talk. I now take my cars to them any time I have a
problem. I have found them to be thorough and honest. If
something doesn't need fixing they tell me.

all the guys in the shop are above other mechanic, even at the local volvo dealership. pete buck is the mechanic who i've had the pleasure to work on my four volvo. just the very tops in his work. even when they change a thermostat the nuts are renewed. just the very best!!!

If I aver mover far away, I'll surely miss them.

These guys have been great. I've always gone to them even when Toyota was right in the neighborhood.

I'd gone to P&P based on recommendations from this site. I'd
gotten into an accident and had to replace the front
passenger light. After that, it never worked, and according to
the garage that had installed it, I'd have to pay over again
to fix it. In addition, my blinker worked periodically, and if
I had my lights on, then my horn didn't work :) I assumed
everything had to do with the light, but being car clueless, I
wasn't sure.
When I called and explained the problems I was having, the
owner actually listened to me and made some suggestions on
the possible problems. I was able to get an appointment
within the week. Not only did they fix everything that day,
but they fixed it early, and they were able to find a weird
noise issue I'd been having with the car.
This shop rocks! I recommend it to people all the time.
They're reasonably priced, they listen to you explain what's
going on, whatever needs to be fixed, they're up front about
the cost, and if it seems like a stupid fix, they'll tell you.

I've known the guys at P&P for many years. Unless I am
traveling or have an active warranty I will always take my
car to them. They are masters at their trade, not hacks.
In fact, I seen customers take their cars to P&P after
some other show has hacked it up and is still didn't run.

I have known and dealt with P&P for at least 20 years.
Once my warrany is up on a newly purchased vehicle I would
not think of taking it anywhere else! In fact, I have
been known to still take it to them while the vehicle was
under local warranty; a testament to their competence,
integrity and customer satisfaction. I would be so
depressed and at a loss as to where to go if they weren't
there! A big thanks from one of your loyal customers!

Honest, knowledgeable and friendly. Don't go to them. It
will make it harder for me to get an appointment. (kidding)
