Reviewers Comments:

I was fortunate to find Mobile Mechanics in Golden when I lost my clutch on I-70 a few years ago, and found the mechanics to be more than honest and very professional. The shop is clean and the people are great. I travel over 50 miles one way to my get my car serviced, and would never take my Subaru anywhere else ... ever! Please note that Mobile Mechanics is an exclusive Subaru repair shop. The shop has an extremely faithful following, where many customers (including myself) would not purchase anything but a Subaru, or they would have to go through the painful process of finding an honest mechanic. I already know my next car will be a Subaru because of my mechanic! If you have a Subaru in the greater Denver area, contact Mobile Mechanics. Thanks ... Julie

I am a part-time ski instructor and drive over two 11,000 ft mountain passes to get to where I teach, so my Subaru is the most important equipment I have. Buddy is truly a Subaru expert; he got my car (96,000 miles) back in running condition for the next 100,000 miles when it started losing power and running poorly. Turns out the last two mechanics to touch it didn't do what was required and it still had the original spark plugs in it and hadn't had the timing belt replaced. For as long as I live in Colorado I'll drive Subarus and have them maintained by Buddy.

Our whole family has had Subaru's and they were all maintained by Buddy. Back when he used to do mobile repair he repaced the engine of our old 82' in the supermarket parking lot! Always honest and very busy he is the best mechanic we have ever had. If you want proof of his success just drive by his shop and look at all the cars people drop off to have repaired there. He no longer advertises just to try and see all his current customers in a timely manner.

This is an honest shop. I was sure something was wrong with my exhaust system, due to a loud noise sounding akin to a non-muffled engine noise. Buddy told me that the oily chimpansee shop did not replace the box lid to my air filter, correctly. That's all it was! I'm thrilled to have an honest answer, when I could have easily been convinced it was something bigger and more expensive. The price for the 30K tuneup was reasonable and I must say, my Outback drove better than it has since I purchased it used from a dealer. Nice to have the power up the hills again.

Buddy and his staff are really wonderful. They know their stuff, they are honest about what is going on with my car, they tell me what needs fixing and what can wait. I have dropped by the shop with quick questions about noises, etc. and they always take the time to check the noise and answer the question. I have been taking my car to Buddy for over 5 years now, and I am about ready to buy a new car. I've considered other cars, but because Buddy only repairs Subarus, that's probably what I'll get. I would send my mother here.

I took my girlfriend's Outback there after having problems at another mechanic and they fixed it right at a cheaper price. Also called them about issues regarding tires for the Outback and Buddy gave us good info about not having to buy all 4 tires like the tire guys suggested. Buddy really didn't even know us and gave us free info. Happy with the service.

Buddy has worked on all 5 Subarus we have had since 1976 when he didn't have a shop and was a true Mobile Mechanic. His honest work is a big factor for us in deciding what cars to buy. One of the only sure things in cars.

I decided to check out your mechanic's file listing to be sure that Buddy - Mobile Mechanic - was listed. Everyone knows CarTalk is a great source of info., and hopefully from all the excellent reviews, anyone needing a highly recommended Subaru mechanic will also know to call Buddy. Both Buddy and his son have worked on my 1997 Legacy, as well as all of my fellow co-workers' Subaru's. All of us sing their praises and wouldn't hesitate for a moment to recommend them. They find the problem, fix it right the first time, doing this at a more than fair price. Also, they never try to get you to purchase extra services that your car does not need, which is something I've never experience before with any other mechanic. So if anyone needs a great Subaru mechanic, make sure you contact Buddy at Mobile Mechanic. You will never regret making the phone call.

Buddy & Crew are simply the best! We have used their services for over 20 years and are continually amazed at how honest, knowledgeable, and reasonable they are. When he did Mobile work, Buddy once changed the brakes on my Subaru in my driveway - in a blinding snowstorm - for $85! We have sent countless friends and acquaintances to see Buddy and he has never let any of them down. Don't know what more we can say except that Buddy & Crew are enough reason for you to buy a Subaru in the Denver Area. Pete Neri & Sharon Neri

I've been taking my Subaru to Buddy ever since I bought it back in 2000, and my parents have been taking theirs to him since the late '80s or early '90s, and we've always been pleased with the professional service and great results we've gotten on our cars. Buddy even helped to save my honeymoon after we knocked out our oil pan when driving through a puddle up above Nederland the day after my wedding - we dropped off the vehicle to him late in the evening and were on the road the next morning.

Buddy and Co. are the very best. I was on vacation in New Mexico and had car problems. The only person in town who could do the work (a dealer) told me the repairs would be $2800+. I called Buddy to ask his advice and he told me to drive it back. i did and the cost of repairs at Mobile was 480 with parts. As long as I have a subaru i will go to Buddy

I stumbled on Mobile Mechanics in 1994 when the seller of a Subaru I bought recommended Buddy as an honest and reasonably priced Subaru specialist. My parents started using him soon after that and none of us would ever use anyone else! I remember calling Buddy once from out of state when a local repair shop could not tell me what was wrong with my car. Buddy told me the part number to have the shop order and after they had installed it, the problem was resolved!!! Buddy has also advised me on the purchase of two vehicles and knows Subarus better than anyone I know. Buddy and his crew have always provided the most ethical and competent service imaginable and at a VERY reasonable price. I am so greatful to have such a reliable and trustworthy mechanic and I would highly recommend Mobile Mechanics to anyone with a Subaru.

These guys have Subaru repair down to a science! They are so fast, it's like a pit stop at the Indy 500. I can drop my car off in the morning, and before lunch, they call saying it's all done & ready to pick up. They get it done right the 1st time, and their prices are very reasonable. A true legend among Subaru owners in the Colorado Front Range. I only wish they worked on other makes--I'd take all my cars there if I could. George in Wheat Ridge

These guys have been amazing. They could have easily taken advantage of me, but have proved to be honest and professional. Our family has been going to them for fifteen years or so. Buddy rocks.

This shop's honesty was immediately apparent. I stopped by to have them check out a strange noise coming from my wheels. With a two-week backlog of appointments, they attended to me in less than an hour, drove my car around, diagnosed the problem, explained the shot wheel bearing in detail and recommended where I should go to have it fixed. They even managed to confirm my brakes are still good without me asking. This was all provided without any charge or hassle. Guess where I'll be headed when my car needs a tune-up. And the magazine selection in the waiting room rocks (new issue of Outside)!

We took our 1992 Subaru to Buddy because we had a very bad series of experiences with the Subaru dealer. We found Buddy to be honest, knowledgeable, and quick. We HIGHLY recommend this shop!!!

Buddy has been taking fabulous care of me and my car for many years. I know I am only one of many rabidly loyal customers since we occasionally run into each other- Subie people tend to congregate. Buddy is eminently trustworthy and honest. He'll take care of you even if you need a new Subie or want to buy a used one. I'd never take my Subie anywhere else.

Buddy and his team have done a great job with my car and have always treated me fairly and as though I know what I am looking at in my engine... The work done has been great, and when I have needed a follow up visit, I was not charged, and the repairs were made quickly. All and all, a fantastic shop! I even called them before I went car shopping for this last Subaru to get their advise on specific years and models.

Buddy is amazing. He will spend time with you on the phone before you bring the vehicle in, thereby saving you time and (!!!)money. Perhaps the last honest mechanic?

I had an excellent experience with Mobile Mechanics. I recently bought a used Outback in need of a 120,000 mile service. I found Mobile Mechanics through this site and wholly agree with the many positive reviews already posted. Buddy was patient on the phone, clearly explaining what I should expect, and some things we should check before doing the service (the notorious head gasket). He talked me out of some expensive timing belt work I thought maybe I needed but he determined I didn't need. He clearly respects his customers and wants to make his money doing good, honest work at a fair price. The service itself was done on time as scheduled and Buddy answered all my dumb questions, again with friendly patience. My car now runs smoother and with more power than before, I won't be taking it anywhere else.

Buddy knows his Subarus! Several times I simply tell him over the phone what the symptoms are, and he's able to diagnose it directly and correctly. He has even told me when to take the car to the dealer and how best to capitalize on the warranty to fix issues I will be seeing in the future. Great shop and shopkeeper! 5 Stars!

Buddy checked out an '07 Subaru Outback I was trying to purchase. He was very thorough and did not even charge me. I tried to pay him, and he would not let me. Wow, I am planning to bring my vehicle to him for any needs.

--reviewer #145534, 2010

Highly recommended. Buddy's service and concern for his customers are excellent. He's done work on our clutch and brakes as well as routine maintenance. Our Subaru has over 130k miles and is going strong, thanks to Mobile Mechanics. Buddy spends the time to explain things at a level of detail that even I can understand. And when the work is done, we have never had to go back to get something 're-fixed.' The car is ready when he says it will be, and often sooner. Buddy's staff shows the same courtesy and customer service that he does. It's just a good place to take your Subaru.

I learned about Buddy through a friend at work who raved about him. He fixed the problem right away, was very reasonably priced, and did not add on extra fees that seem to be added on everywhere else. I feel so good to have a mechanic who I like and trust. Also, Buddy seems to be a genuinely nice person. He's very aptly named.
