This is not the place to wait for your car to be repaired. Arrange to leave it. If necessary, George or Peter will take you home and pick you up while they have your car. Although the "waiting room" improved recently, you would not want to spend hours there. There are usually 2-4 men apparently just hanging around with nothing else to do but smoke. George often leaves the shop with no employees there, just his friends and hangers-on, who answer the phone and watch the place, or maybe run errands or take people home. Our family has dealt with George since he opened, probably about 1992. He is good at explaining the "what ifs" of deferring work or cutting costs with such things as used parts. He has worked on about 5 of our cars, even Peugeot while parts were still available, and he sold our daughter her first car (used of course), with which we were very comfortable and she has been very well pleased. One day we were just leaving on a long trip and heard bad thump/clunk noises from the rear. We limped over to George's and found we had a broken strut. Although it was after 5PM, George found a place to get the part and stayed in his shop several hours to get us on the road, setting aside any personal plans (like dinner) he may have had for the evening.
