I had a very good experience at this repair shop. I bought a used Subaru at a fair price which runs great and they were very helpful fixing my old car. Jack, the owner, is honest and helpful and I would recommend him highly!

They are extremely good at diagnosis. My vehicles have always been repaired for the EXACT problem it was brought in for and fixed properly. No extras were added for a "just in case". Recently, my husband's 1988 Chevy Celeb developed a sudden case of loosing antifreeze. The leak was not at the site of the radiator. It was running down from the area of the engine. When I called to check the status of the repair, I was told that they didn't do anything. The antifreeze was blowing out of a rear head cylinder and they didn't know if I wanted to spend approx $800 to do major engine repairs. Here I thought(hoped)it was just a connection thing. I exclaimed, "That's more than the car is worth!" The answer Jack gave me was, "You're right!" They also took care of disposing the vehicle for me. Now, MY 1988 Pontiac is in their competent hands. All work to be done is agreed upon dropping the car off. "Give me a call this afternoon, said Jack. These people are very courteous. They've been in business since 1948. Besides complete auto/truck repairing, body work and painting, they do frame straightening and have 24 hr wrecker service. They seem to be able to fix anything that rolls on wheels and I've seen some BIG trucks in their for repair.

TAckled my aging 914 Porsche 2.0 with aplomb, even though I don't think they'd ever seen one before. Did good work, considering. Friendly, honest, will explain everything and back up their work. When they couldn't find the electrical problem, they didn't charge me for the search, which must have taken at least a day. I've had mechanics back in California who charge you for "hello." - ron

For 25 years I used a reputable shop that did good, but rather pricey work. On a whim I took my truck to Edward's and was blown away at the service. There isn't anything these guys, particularly Jack, won't do if he possibly can. I longer even consider anywhere else. They are extremely competent and amazingly courteous. They epitomize what I want in a shop.

Edward Motor Service has been a family business since 1947, and there is an "old time" feel about the shop -- treat customers respectfully, make the sure the work is done right. The atmosphere of competence is manifest. My 1993 Thunderbird (74,000) developed a problem in the cooling system. They found that the head gasket was leaking and that some rust on the pistons had occurred. The car had lost a bit in its performance. They fixed it and it runs like new.
