Bob Trez and the gang at Penfield personable, communicative and honest. As a female driver with little practicle automotive knowledge, I never feel that I've been taken for a ride. (Sorry for the pun).

I just moved to Fairfield and I've just found my mechanic. My wife's Accura Integra was revving in higher gears. It turns out that the clutch is going. Bob Trez the owner was extremely helpful, explained the problem and offered to check the car for me (no charge). This was very nice especially since his crews (there are 5 bays) were working on a vintage car and several other cars. I first called Nicks Precision Automotive because there are more reviews that are also very good; but they were difficult to make an appointment with and they wanted $100 to diagnose the problem. Penfield was a lot easier to work with. Penfield's phone is 203-256-9201 and they are located 691 Post Road (before the Stop & Shop just before the traffic circle as you head north)

The folks at Penfield Service know what they are doing. They treat their customers as they would want to be treated. They are always professional. They are up to date on technical service bulletins. They fix it the first time. The repair cost is the same as the estimate. All in all, Penfield knows that they stay in business because of their customers and they treat their customers accordingly.

They WAY overcharged for a simple 'fix' of the cigarette lighter outlet (unless you feel $335+ is a reasonable price to pay for such a simple repair). The good news: They went out of their way to inform me they didn't charge me for the materials (probably about 58?? in new wire and solder). Such nice guys!
