My frustration with the incompetence of the local VOLVO dealer in Danbury, CT, forced us to sell my wife's 240 wagon, but I kept my 240. I was overjoyed to find BEAVER BROOK AUTOMOTIVE, which is run by Peter and his partner, Richard. Peter is a factory Volvo mechanic, and his work is fairly priced and on time. The big difference between these guys and the dealer is that they will take the time to fix your car, rather than just keep throwing expensive parts at it, which is what the dealer does. These guys invite you back to the service area while your car is on the lift, so they can show you what needs repairing. Beaver Brook did my brakes for a great price, fixed my tailgate wiring harness, and replaced the transmission shift solenoid.

I read the other comment and took my car there too. The guys go the extra mile. They are going to have great success b/c they treat you right. They treat you and your car like clients, not just like money in their pockets. Totally awesome shop!!!!!!

Peter and Richard have opened this business with the intent to help Volvo owners with high repair costs associated with having work done at your Volvo dealer. While parts and service for any Volvo will never be inexpensive they have hit their mark providing a less expensive alternative. They are personable, friendly and will only perform needed repairs. Rather than getting the traditional “up sell” gimmick from the service writher at the Volvo dealer these guys are just interested in fixing what is broke, keeping you and your car happy and having you back when you need them again. If you live in the Danbury area and have a Volvo BeaverBrook Automotive should be your repair facility of choice.

I met Peter Balch when he was at Volvo over 5 years ago and have always trusted him to fix my cars. When he opened a repair shop with Richard I was so glad to be able to take all 4 of my cars there. When other mechanics did not know what was wrong Pete has and is always right! I have recommended him to friends who now call him their mechanic. He is honest and a great mechanic so that makes him a awesome person to know. Richard is a great guy too and I owe him for finding me a beautiful little convertible that is my prize possession now!!! It is a BMW and I had to ask them if they could fix it before I would ever consider buying it or any car. My son actually just came home saying his car was making a grinding noise tonight and I just said "take it to Pete in the morning". Pete & Richard are a great team!
