Dear Click and Clack,

During your recent show you began with a story about the need for restitution. Well, as fate would have it, I was thinking of a situation that occurred 30 years ago at the same moment you brought yours up.

During a late-night partying stint I may have dropped a lit cigarette in the back seat of my friend's old Camaro or Firebird, I can't remember which. I found out a few days later that his car had caught fire later that night and they suspected a cigarette may have caused it. At the time I was in no condition to know if I did drop a cigarette but it has always bothered me that I may have been at fault.

His name is Jim Parker, originally from Brentwood, NY, and I have no way of contacting him. As you reached out to the family whose birthday cake you mistakenly ate I was wondering if there was any way you could reach out to him on air so that I could clear the air?

Thanks,
Greg Shaw
