Can't Men Be Right Even Once?

My wife just got off the phone with you concerning whether or not you should park a car with the tires pointed straight ahead—i.e., straightening out the wheel. Being a newlywed and having eaten more than my fair share of words in a mere nine months. I was hoping you could have cut a me a little slack—isn't there the SLIGHTEST chance that over time (100+ years) that you would need to repair the car sooner??? As a long time listener, I know you understand how important it is for us men to have at LEAST ONE topic that we can be right about—please don't take THAT away.

I was told in driving school, by my father, and many others that over time, parking with the tires pointed to the left or right will cause problems. How did this automotive legend start???

Sincerely,
Cry for help!
