New Puzzler: "Whose Fault" Accident

RAY: This puzzler was sent in by Mark Sackler via email, the subject of which was "Strange Accident." And he writes, "Here is a car puzzler, and it is a true story. This really happened to me many years ago, 1984, to be precise. My car was in an accident and the significant facts were: my car, a 1982 Toyota Celica, rear-ended another vehicle." You got that? That's Fact Number One.

TOM: Fact Number One.

RAY: Number Two: The other vehicle was stationary at the instant of the accident.

TOM: Okay.

RAY: Number Three. My car was unoccupied at the time of the accident. Okay? Number Four: I was a passenger in the other vehicle when it was struck my car.

TOM: Yeah!

RAY: And Number Five. The accident was the other vehicle's fault and their insurance paid for the damage to my vehicle.

TOM: I've got the answer. I don't even know the question.

RAY: The question is, what kind of vehicle did Mark's car strike?
