Lincoln Town Car (1998)
Before you read this, you should read the test drive notes for theCadillac Fleetwood Brougham.
Did you read it? Good.
Just about everything you read about the Fleetwood applies to the Town Car.Except that Ford is not planning to stop inflicting this beast on the world.Evidently, the potential buyers of the Town Car have slightly longer lifespans than the Brougham buyers.
I didn't measure either of these cars, but the Town Car feels a bit smallerto drive than the Cadillac. That was my perception, anyway. And I guess myperception is pretty good, 'cause The Cadillac is actually 6.1 inches longer, asyou can see by clicking on what? Right. The "specs."Also, the Lincoln handles a little better.
On the plus side, it has a huge trunk. If you're an up-and-coming gangster, there's room for golf clubs and a couple of bodies in there. Try doingthat in a Saturn!
