Want to learn first-hand what it takes to put together an award-winning* website and social media presence?

Join the light-starved lackeys of Car Talk Plaza—in-person, or as a telecommuting lackey. Car Talk needs an intern for its social media channels on Facebook and Twitter, and its web site, cartalk.com.

Our fearless boss, leading by example. (Car Talk Photo)The Work:

*Reviewing social media content, looking for Car Talk-appropriate content.
*Curating Facebook, Twitter and cartalk.com community content.
*Drafting blog posts and social media posts.
*Data entry, updating the secret catacombs of the Car Talk web site.

You should:

*Be conscientious and self-motivated.
*Be interested in developing your writing and editing skills.
*Enjoy playing with others.
*Have a good eye for Car Talk-appropriate editorial content, whether text, photo, video or audio.
*Be creative.
*Make us laugh.

Our intern will work with a diverse, talented and energetic Car Talk online team, located… around the planet. No kidding.  Team members include writers, producers, editors, web designers and programmers working on radio, web, video, social media, newsletter and newspaper content.

Last of the Details:

The internship can be offsite. Working at Car Talk Plaza, in Our Fair City, is not necessary. However, being able to work independently on projects and being self-motivated are important prerequisites.

To Apply:

Send us three news or humor items that you think would be great for the Car Talk web site or Facebook page. Draft a few lines of text to accompany each of your submissions. (Feel free to check out the web site for inspiration, or to get an idea of what appeals to our audience.)
