Wanted to buy a Spider, liked the way they looked. Knew nothing else. Brought one in to Don Baker, shop's owner, for his appraisal. For an hour's labor, he told me what it needed. Test drove it, put it on the rack, checked its exhaust, was quite thorough. Saw a piece missing under the hood, found one in the shop and put it on. Keep in mind he had no reason to do this other than love of the make/model! He list work that needed 1)immediate attention, 2) attetion soon, and 3) eventually. Ended up buying the car, brought it straight to him to get clutch, motor mounts and brakes. Always honest, tells you what it needs, what to do and not to do regarding modifications. HE KNOWS THESE CARS! Its nice to run into a guy who is in the business for more than the buck. I can't recommend this place enough. Only problem (not a problem for me, but should mention it) the only bathroom they have is a portapotty. Honestly, its a clean one. Not like one might find at a fair or (ugh) running event!
