I have taken a lot of cars to these guys over the years and they have always been both competent and honest -- even when they could easily have made more money off of me. They have saved me a lot of money by NOT doing work that they could have recommended strongly but either said wasn't absolutely necessary or wasn't worth it because of the age of the car. They will tell you when the work is more than they can handle, so I always take my cars to them first. Brian Hogue owns the place and runs it, so he's always making sure that everything meets his high standards.

Scrupulously honest. Will not recommend unnecessary repairs. Will call if minor adjustments are made to estimate before performing the work.

They are courteous, totally straightforward and honest. When a problem came up that was hard to fix (the vehicles computer was giving a misleading diagnosis) they were really tenacious about getting to the bottom of it.

Brian Hogue is very honest and straight-forward; he will not recommend anything he does not think is necessary. Will advise when a repair is needed now and when something can wait. Professional and courteous.

When you find a mechanic this professional, honest, and reasonably priced, you want to tell others about it. I am so confident in Hoover Street Automotive that I have recommended them to several friends, and even to my boss. They have all been pleased with the service they received as well. Brian is very honest and will take the time to explain what is needed. He doesn't perform unnecessary work and will call if there is even a minor adjustment to his estimate.

Meticulous, honest, will give the full range of repair possibilities from 'get it back on the road' to 'good as new'. Very fair pricing. Detailed explanations as to problem and fix. They give rides to your work, and pick-up, too. I have sent my kids there, even my ex-wife!

I am so happy to have found this car repair shop. If you need to stay within a budget they will explain what you can put off, and they will let you know when you really need to get the work done. I've gone to many independent mechanics in our area and I think that our repair bills are lower since we started going to Hoover St. Auto Repair.

I've had older vehicles in there for repair, and they are helpful and honest about what's worth doing and what can wait or isn't even worth doing for the life left in the car. I appreciate their honesty and have always found them to be respectful and extremely helpful.
