In these times, it is hard to find an auto repair shop with integrity. Hokama Auto Repair is such an auto repair shop. A family owned business, run by the husband and wife. Very honest, courteous, and professional. Appointments for repair suggested, but make exceptions to help customers in times of emergency. They have even resolve problems with my cars that even the dealer mechanics could not find nor fix. I highly recommond Hokama for your auto repair needs.

I have listed myself as a "biased customer" due to the many years of excellent, fair, and honest service from this shop. While there are mechanic employees, the owner is fully aware of all jobs and road tests personally when a road test is appropriate before returning the vehicle. Also no answer for response to "respond well when they screw up something", because I have no such experience, so far, although they are human.

I brought my vehicle to Hokama Auto Repair after reading the reviews on this site. I had previously taken my vehicle to two other supposedly reputable locations that specialized in, among other things, brakes, mufflers, tires, and wheel alignment. My vehicle was initially worked on by these previous two locations for a squealing rear brake and steering wheel that pulled to the left. Despite being told that the alignment and brakes were fine and selling me two new rear tires and a resurfacing of the front brake discs, the problem with the steering persisted. While I was changing the oil shortly after, I noticed a torn CV boot on the driver's side. (Something that I felt should have been noticed by the mechanics that previously worked on the vehicle). I then brought the vehicle to Hokama Auto Repair to change the CV boot, possibly replace the CV joints, and to check the steering malady. The entire experience at Hokama was a pleasant one from the start. The problems detected by the staff at Hokama Auto Repair included an improperly adjusted rear brake (which contributed to the steering wheel pulling to one side, and worn front wheel bearings (Which was felt should also have been detected previously). The axle assembly (including two CV joints and boots) were replaced and the problems listed above were corrected. Mr. Hokama himself took the time to clearly and thoroughly explain each repair and the prices and options available. My vehicle has been running just fine ever since the problems were corrected by Hokama Auto repair. I am an avid car enthusiast and intend to keep this vehicle as long as I can. Despite the previous bad experiences with the other two repair shops, I have never felt that I was or had been, taken advantage of by the Staff at at Hokama Auto Repair. (As in a previous comment, I did not respond to the question of whether they "responded well when they screwed something up" because they never "screwed up" with me.)
