Car Talk: So, you like Car Talk. That's one strike against you. Can you tell us something about yourself that might redeem you in the eyes of a possible date?

Donna: Big chest? Not hard to look at? You did say in the eyes of a possible date, right?

Let's see... what's cool about me? Well, I have a wide variety of interests. I am one of the lucky people who loves what I do for a living and so consider myself as "never having worked a day in my life." (Remind you of anyone you know?)

I am honest; and have proof of this because I don't have a great memory. Mark Twain once said that if you tell the truth, you don't need a good memory.

I know how to ask good questions (much like Tom and Ray) and when you do that, two things happen: you make it easier for people to open up, and you learn the most amazing things. A real win-win situation.

Car Talk: Other than a monstrous trust fund, charm, chivalry, and stunning good looks — what else would you like in a possible date?

Donna: Well, I'm always ready to find the fun in a situation. I guess you could say I am looking for a playmate. I am a good at sharing and I play well with others.

Car Talk: If you were a car, what kind of car would you be?

Donna: A green Chevy Blazer.

Car Talk: Why?

Donna: It's a vehicle that reflects my adventurous yet safety conscious, risk-taking nature... as well as my cosmic consciousness.

I first drove a Chevy Blazer in the Rocky Mountains and loved the way it handled those narrow, precipitous roads.

So, can we call it an, "environmentally friendly, sporty Chevy Blazer — with room for friends and possibilities."

Car Talk: We're not sure that exact model exists, but who are we to stop you? You got it. And good luck!

Donna: Thanks. See you on the 20th with... well... we'll see!

Reasons I listen to Car Talk:
No matter how I'm feeling on any given Saturday, listening to Car Talk makes it better. It?s guaranteed fun (if not guaranteed content).

I see nothing wrong with "wasting another perfectly good hour" listening to Car Talk. It's one way I know for sure that it IS the weekend!

Good NPR shows that I like: Fresh Air, Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, This American Life and Morning Edition on my way to work.
