Those of you who've explored the "Auto Biographies" section of Car Talk know that Car Talk has a staff canine named Zuzu. She was born in Harvard Square, adopted by our esteemed producer, Doug Berman, at the age of six weeks (Zuzu was six weeks old, not Doug) and comes into work with Doug most days.

Through the miracles of modern technology, we managed to strap a lightweight, remote-controlled digital camera (the "Zuzu Cam") to Zuzu's head, and then we caught an entire day of action-packed dog adventure through her unique perspective.

Simultaneously, Zuzu's brain-wave activity (such as it is), was captured on a MicroCane Z100E Encephalocaninecorder, saved on DAT, and then translated into English on an Apple 9500.

What follows, in words and pictures, is "A Day in the Life of Zuzu," Car Talk staff canine:

Let's see if the slug is up yet. Nope, still out cold. Well, I can change that with one touch of the cold nose.
Ah, now that you're up, big boy, how 'bout a walk and some cinnamon French toast?
This is our cat, FM. She's having a love affair with the corner of that cabinet. I'll give her three seconds, then I'm going to chase her around the house four times.
Damn! When will he learn? Every week they steal our garbage, and every week my dumb owner leaves it out again!
Did you know they allow dogs on the subway in Boston? Good thing the turnstiles are on the high side because I never carry change.
