Recently you made a statement about the behavior of our feathered friends and speculated that they would not intentionally poop on a specific target. Wow, are you wrong! Many years ago I was riding at the tail end of a long line of horses in Yellowstone Park. We apparently entered the territory or nesting area of a pair of hawks, for one of them took offense at our intrusion, soared high above us, carefully lined up its dive, took aim, dove and pooped to hit the lead rider. Fortunately it missed, but its intent was clear.

I have read that if you enter the nesting areas of sea gulls you had better carry an umbrella to ward off the poop they will aim at and then drop on you.

Finally, though it is a bit off the immediate subject, Prince Maximilian, a German prince who came to this country in 1832 and traveled from Boston to Montana, noted in his diaries that vultures, when shot at, would vomit, and that he had seen the same behavior in South America, where he had conducted an earlier expedition. I know that this is the wrong end of the bird, but it does add color to the subject.

In any case, you guys should stay out of hawk and sea-gull nesting areas without adequate protection if you persist in your misinformed opinion that birds will not intentionally aim and poop on a given target.

And by the way, if I am not successful in getting a question to you on your program after 10 years of trying, I am going to train my elephant bird to fly to Boston and find Car Talk, and then you will need far more than an umbrella.
