Dear Tom and Ray:
I heard you two have a book out. Is this true? If so, what is it called and where can I find it? I'd love to get a copy for my husband.
Barbara

RAY: I'm sorry Barbara. While we'd love to help you, it would be really inappropriate for us to use our own newspaper column to plug our book.

Beat up old carTOM: While I'm sure you'd laugh a lot while reading it, and learn a lot about how your car works, it just wouldn't be right for us to tell you that the title of it is CAR TALK, and that it has a bright yellow cover with our pictures on it.

RAY: And although it's a book no one should be without, it would be really tacky for us to mention that it's published by Dell and that it's only $8.95 ($10.95 in Canada).

TOM: Yeah. That would really be below us to seek that kind of shameless free publicity. Sorry we can't help you Barbara.
