April 1990
Dear Tom and Ray:I drive a 1988 Acura Legend Coupe and will soon be looking for a replacement. The Legend has been trouble free and drives beautifully. Can you recommend an American car that would be similar?
Norm
RAY: No, we can't. Get another Legend and write to us again in 1992.
TOM: By then, one of two things will happen. Either an American car company will have figured out how to make a car like the Legend, or Acura will be building their cars here and Legends WILL BE American cars.
RAY: Seriously, Norm. The Americans are making some very good cars these days, but at this point, there's still nothing directly comparable to the Acura Legend.
