How can I find out the name of the song that you play on your break. I have used Shazaam a few times, to no avail.

On today's show (WBEZ, 11/26/11) you talked about the medical editor found dead at his desk after five days. I tried to find this story online but no luck. Would you please give me the source for this? Thanks.

2001 Subaru Forester L AWD 2.5L. Why have I had to replace twice in three years the passenger front CV axle assembly? Cracked Boots. Grease sling. Bad smell. Exhaust?

I love the program's theme song, at least I think it's the theme song--it seems to come up regularly, a lively bluegrass. Can someone tell me the group and the name of the song?

I can't figure out how to post a question in the community. I have set up an account and can read the community input but it keeps telling me to sign in - when I do it just takes me to my account info.

My daughter and son-in-law just had their first baby and think their Mazda hatchback is too small. My son-in-law is 6'5", so he needs a roomy car to be comfortable. Other than an SUV which we all loathe, what is the best car for a young and growing family?

My daughter has a Volvo just like ours (1993 850). Several months ago we took pity on her and gave her our old snow tires. She just called me from the tire place to ask me what to do because they said she needs two new tires and she can't afford them. I told her to have them put the two best ones on the front and come home and have her Dad put the two best of her old ones on the back. When I told my husband he said that's a really bad idea because the anti-lock braking system might get messed up because the two back tires are so different from the two front ones (different diameter). I said so what, the car will just handle a little differently but after everyone (the car, my daughter) adjusts it should be ok. So we agreed to ask you guys. Is this a really bad idea or an okay for a while idea?

I cannot ask questions or make comment in the "Community" sectionof the site - I've signed in, but there's no provision for asking questions - it just keeps showing me my account info.

I have tried again and again to register for your Car Talk Community but cannot make CAPTCHA happy. I've never had this problem before - I've even negotiated the famouly frustrating Boston Red Sox captcha-like device. It's really frustrating. I assure you, I'm as human as you are, maybe even more so - who knows? Suggestions ? (I have one - fire CAPTCHA)

You should cover the concept of driving pick-up trucks with the gate down again. I pass so many people who leave their gate down, and I know they think they are getting better gas mileage. I do not think the air dynamics supports any gas savings.

My Lexus ES350 asks for premium gas. After 77K miles I find the following: mixed driving gets about 1-2 mpg better performance with regular gas; but, highway driving gets 2-4 extra mpg with premium gas. I can get 33 mpg on the highway with premium given a flat highway - really good for this size car. It does seem to take a tank or two with one type of gas to get its best results. So what is going on with the car as I change the gas types and is it possible that I really do get better mpg with regular gas than premium in the city/mixed environment?

The listener that called in about the wood burning can was referring to a process called Gasification. With gasification you partially oxidize wood to carbon monoxide gas which gas can then be used to feed a turbine, a boiler, or even an internal combustion engine. When it combines with oxygen it generated power like methane or gas and can drive said engines. It was developed I believe in Germany early in the 20th century and is making a comeback as a technique to convert biomas to electricity using ic engines driving electrical generators. It is cleaner than simply combusting.
