#1039: Extreme Dashboard Makeover

Original Air Date: 09.25.2010

   Best Moment

This week on Car Talk, James in Georgia is looking for a quick and cheap way to fix the cracks in his truck's dashboard. Tom and Ray's suggestions begin with driveway sealant, and go downhill from there. The guys do a little better giving ethical guidance to Danielle in California, who's wondering if it's kosher to count her infant son as a passenger so she can use the carpool lane. Also, Mustang owner Grace wonders if there's any way to make her clutch a little less "heavy duty"; Don in Louisiana has been banned from visiting his sister because of the loud and embarrassing squealing sound coming from his Supra; and on Stump the Chumps, we find out if Tom and Ray's humiliation was enough to get car-scratching husband Dave to straighten up. All this, plus a new Puzzler from the "Currency Events" (yes, that's correct) series, and lots more, this week on Car Talk.
