Description:
This week on Car Talk, Leah from Mississippi gets a bonus gift from her local supermarket--a gecko that hitched a ride on her asparagus and promptly jumped behind the dashboard of her Lexus. Now, Leah's worried that the critter might be snacking on wires or starting a family in her car. Also, two lessons on how not to treat a borrowed car. The first comes from Adam, who took his girlfriend's Jeep off-roading and now can't get it out of 4-Wheel drive. The second is from James, who dropped a pen cap into his Mom's Jaguar's gas tank. All this, plus a Kia that may have eaten one burrito too many, and the return of the Puzzler from its summer vacation, this week on Car Talk.

Favorite Moment: My favorite moment is when I turn on the show. Least favorit moment is when it is over and I have to wait another week to hear it.
Belt line indeed
by willedchilledThis is great. Finally I know that it's not just me, it's the belt line. I'm trying to find a new car, and I'm 5'1", and every car I sit in feels like I'm sitting in the bottom of a well. Why are they taking away visibility? I need a new car, and I can't find one that I feel safe in - and I don't want to look at video screens - I want to see for myself. Hopefully some car designers will listen to your show and start making something I can purchase.
Favorite Moment: Gecko under the dashboard. It won't eat the wires, by the way, if it doesn't get out it will most likely die from dehydration, poor thing.

Something was missing
by AnonymousI listened to this show on Sirius and then tried again on a local NPR station. At the 20 minute mark, the show starts from the beginning again so you essentially get a 40 minute show with the rest being a repeat of the beginning. What happened there?
