#0916: Tire Pressure and National Security

Original Air Date: 04.18.2009

   Best Moment

Description:
This week on Car Talk, a case worthy of Jack Bauer. Karen in Maryland has noticed that her tire pressure warning light flashes every day during her commute, in the same location. Is it just a coincidence that it happens right in front of an NSA building? Or are her tires transmitting state secrets? Also, Paul in Texas frets that his Sebring has begun to sound like a diesel VW, Simon in Arizona finds a $2000 brake job hilarious, and could Katie in Alabama have avoided a lot of problems by simply naming her Camry? All this, plus a Puzzler from the Teen Driving series, this week on Car Talk.

Tire pressure gauge FYI

Just so's ya know, the NSA intentionally interferes with radio transmission & reception around their physical location in Maryland. Cellphones won't work either along certain stretches of highway near them.

My review is the same as the rest! It was boring, awful, and a time killer. Anything else?

Favorite Moment: My favorite moment of this show, was when I was downloading it, and didn't have to listen to a single word from the car talk guys!

Funny, as usual

I don't know what the other reviewer meant. Why download if you find the show boring. I love these guys. It's comfort radio for my weekend.

Ingenious Financial Planning

Strike while the iron's hot, as they say.
