Description:
This week on Car Talk, a nasty divorce takes a nastier turn for Myrna in New Jersey. Word has it, her husband put a tracking device on her car, and she wants to get rid of it. Tom and Ray, on the other hand, think she's got the perfect opportunity to have a little fun with her soon-to-be-ex. Her dilemma and their scheme is also our Call of the Week.
Meanwhile, in New Hampshire, 13-year old budding shade tree mechanic Thomas is looking for help convincing his Mom that the Nissan he's working on now will be safe to drive in 2011.
Elsewhere, on Stump the Chumps, we find out if Ray's "spontaneous starting" theory was really what caused a Porsche to head cliff-ward. And, what's the best way to track down a fuel leak, other than the "match test"? All this, plus a listener review of "As the Wrench Turns," and lots more, this week on Car Talk.

by AnonymousMore GPS Hijinx
by DRimsaI liked the call about the soon to be Ex control freak husband attaching a GPS transmitter to his wife's car and the boy's suggestion's for fun (especially parking the car outside his best friend's house overnight). How about this: Attach it to the hub's car and he will think she is always following him and will go crazy trying to lose and/or locate her. Also, attach a nasty note to the transmitter for if he figures it out. Dan, Melbourne Beach, FL
Favorite Moment: Stump the Chumps. Good solution!
GPS suggestion
by AnonymousPut the GPS tracker on the husband's vehicle. Then he'll think you're tracking him everywhere he goes - especially effective since he never wanted to say where he was going.
