Original Air Date: 07.19.2008

   Best Moment

Description:
This week on Car Talk, it's the infamous story of Max and the dead schnauzer. Talk about above and beyond mechanic service. Meanwhile, can Amy convince her husband that she should drive the car? Fake illness of course! Nothing like a bad case of the pukes to put her behind the drivers seat. And Ray shares his tales of weatherproofing his butt. All that on this week's barking good hour of Car Talk.

I laughed, I cried, it became a part of me.

Max needs to be on stage. At first, I thought this was a "plant" or an actor that was going to be revealed later. I could sit and listen to him tell stories for hours.

Favorite Moment: When he finds out it was costing him $75.00 a week to feed the dog.

The Max & the Schnauzer segment was great. People who didn't give this 4 wrenches are mensches.

Being from San Diego, after hearing this story, I was ready to drive up and pick up this dog. Not only was this a funny story, but such a great story teller. It made my drive to Carlsbad a pure pleasure. Thank you. Jeannie
