#0803: As if Childbirth Wasn't Painful Enough!

Original Air Date: 01.19.2008

   Best Moment

This week on Car Talk, our Jacks-of-No-Trades Hosts once again forge into some perilous, uncharted waters. This time, it's infant care, and the victim-- oops, we mean "beneficiary," of their wisdom is Beth from Philadelphia. She wants to keep her newborn warm in her Honda, and Tom and Ray are ready with an answer as well as, you guessed it, a whole lot more than she bargained for. For better or worse, our hosts aren't the only ones straying far afield--we've got Joan from Illinois, whose car has her thinking about donkeys (sorry, we're not kidding), and Sam from California, who has crickets on the brain, thanks to the fine folks at Audi. Then, there's a Dodge Caravan key that acquires some rather mysterious powers. And, finally, just when you think one hour couldn't get any stranger, Tommy finds a sympatico Fiat owner. Who would have thought it possible? Not us. All that, country music titles that'll have you singin' "Please bypass this heart," a positively palindromic puzzler and lots more, this week on Car Talk.
