They've worked on my truck a couple of times now. The first time they rebuilt the rear drum brakes and found the reason for a misfire (failure of the air intake manifold). They also recommended regular spark plugs over the platinum ones I had put in, without trying to sell me a tune-up or anything. The second time I took it in I had been having some occasional engine trouble, and they took it on test drives three consecutive days and in the end didn't find anything and didn't charge me either. Overall I've been very happy with the work they've performed and the professionalism they exhibit.

We have used Davis for repairs and replacement parts. We had a valve cover seal replaced and new struts put on our van. I am certain that we received better service and a better price than we could have gotten from a dealership.

September, 2001. I had them perform two minor replacements (a dashboard switch and a bumper cap) on my '98 Jeep Wrangler. They were familiar with both items before even seeing them, knew exactly what would be involved in the repairs. They did both jobs in the estimated time frames. The second job was a slam-dunk, so they charged zero for the labor. They were courteous and good-natured, very pleasant to work with. They are not Jeep specialists, but knew my parts well. FYI: Jeep owners, they are crawling distance from a big Jeep dealer, so they have speedy access to parts. So: limited, but entirely satisfactory, experience with Davis Repairs. I will definitely go to them next time I need work done.

I like the way they treat me and other people who go there. What I particularly appreciate is that they do not do work that is not necessary. We have been going there for a couple of years now with a variety of older vehicles without any complaints. Our 83 Ranger broke down and I had to have it towed. When the tow truck arrived, the driver (not a typical tow truck driver but an older, actually civil person) asked me where I wanted to take it. I told him Davis. The driver said that if it were his vehicle, that is where he would go.

I have taken my vehicles to Davis for over 10 years now. They understand the difference between a required repair and a suggested repair. They have worked on my Suburban numerous times (and, unlike the dealer, understand that a car with 150K miles does leak at times and may not need the 600 repair) as well as imports. They have given me good advice when they have inspected cars for potential purchase more than once keeping me out of trouble. I highly recommend this shop.
