Corner Mechanic is a wonderful auto repair shop right here in Golden, Colorado. My wife and I have used them for at least 10 years... fine work, reasonable and consistent pricing, easy to communicate with, dependable in completion date promised.

Always does good work. Calls before doing work not discussed. Butch is wonderful guy (you're welcome Butch!) Good place to take the car. Butch and his wife have season tickets to the Rockies and they share them with customers. Seats are pretty good too. Maybe you could supply coupons for free Rockies dogs too? Oh well..

Great people, always honest and only do work that you need. They don't try to push extra stuff on you. Really a great place!

My daughter attends the School of Mines in Golden and we needed to fix a seriously stalling car. We were charged for one hours labor, and the car was fixed in three hours (one off for lunch.) We had taken the car into two other mechanics in my town, and no one could figure out the problem (in their favor, the car wasn't stalling for them, either.) Obviously, this car had to be fixed immediately, and I really apreciated the mimimal time, no parts and honesty.

The Corner Mechanic Shop diagnosed my vehicle's problem and then called with the total before any work was performed. As a female, this was greatly appreciated, as I have heard such horror stories when it comes to repair shops and women who don't know anything about a car. Thank you Joe and Dan.

I had an electrical problem with a 1985 Toyoty 4-Runner. As you know, electrical is hard. Could be the fuse, could bee the switch, could be the motor, it's hard to know where to start. They diagnosed the problem as the switch but couldn't order a new one because it's an '85 and the part is obsolete. They took the truck to the Toyota dealer, found that the swith from an '86 would work (you can't return electrical parts once you buy them), bought the switch and installed it. I don't think they charged me for the trip. The price for the new switch, just the part, was $99. Total bill was $231 inclding tax. Given diagnosis time and the hassle to find the part I wouldn't have been surprised if it was $400. They even returned the busted part to prove they had really done somethng. Nice guys.

I called these guys on the spur of the moment when I drove down to Golden to look at a vehicle I wanted to purchase, and needed a quick in/out inspection. They were able to fit me in within 5 minutes, were extremely professional, friendly, thorough, respectful, and accurrate. The one small part that the car needed, they charged a beyond-fair price for, and had me off to buy my new car within 45 minutes. Highly recommended and will bring my vehicle to them in the future!

I thought I had been overcharged by another local mechanic, and I went through the receipt with the folks at Corner Mechanic, and they explained exactly how much less they would have charged (over 50%)! The feel is a mom and pop shop, but they seem very competent. I recently had a "maintenance required" light come on in my Sienna minivan, brought it in immediately, and heard back later in the day that it was just a service warning for an oil change. I explained that I had changed the oil just over 3K miles beforehand, and the mechanic commented that with synthetic blends that they use, I could easily go 5K. He simply reset the light and returned the vehicle to me without charge. This is one of those moments where it would have been SO EASY to take advantage of me, but they didn't. I have been impressed with every visit and recommend them most strongly.

Sharla and Joe Ackerman (the owners) are wonderful, honest, hardworking people. Their prices are reasonable, they don't do work that isn't necessary and are always willing to go the extra mile. I highly recommend them!!

Every time we have been there they have been honest and open. If something got missed, they fix it. They get you in as fast as they can, but they are so popular (since they're good, honest mechanics) that it can be hard to get in. The lady at the front desk is a gem, she runs the whole thing and explains everything that is wrong. They are wonderful people and we won't go anywhere else.
