I have a 1992 "Exploder" which they are helping me keep on the road! They are always honest and reliable. If I don't need a major repair, they'll tell me that.

On ski trip to Breckenridge when the '02 Mits Montero SUV developed a loud engine noise. Called High Country Auto Repair after lunch and made appointment for one hour later. Mechanic Don Temmer immediately got his stethoscope and advised that the noise was probably a crushed lifter or other internal damage to the left side of the engine. He also said there was an outside chance that the timing belt or adjuster was making the loud noise (the timing belt was overdue for replacement). Next morning, the staff called to say that it was luckily the timing tensioner and that parts were on order, including all the parts that one should replace when redoing the timing belt: water pump, timing belt and tensioner. Next day, all parts except a special Mitsubishi-unique bolt were in hand and the car was fixed the next day, including another small problem that Don noticed. Price $1008 was $500 less than the equivalent work at an east coast dealer. The staff and mechanic were super to work with, good communicators, and honest. What a great experience!

On a warm sunny day I decided to drive my venerable 1991 Toyota MR2 to an appointment 100 miles from home. Leaving that appointment I caught the aroma of auto coolant in the mountain breeze. There aren't many of this generation of MR2's on the road and I thought I'd be stuck there for at least a day. No one closer than Denver had the formed radiator hose in stock but the local parts store suggested this shop. They knew I was in a tough spot but instead of taking advantage they got me right in; fashioned a hose, and got it installed. More than that, there are no vapor locks in the cooling system (a major problem on this rare racer of mine). And the price was completely fair. This is a husband/wife shop with certified mechanics. Nice people; competent people; and helpful in every way possible. I stumbled onto a great shop and feel like I made some new friends too.

My starter was going out(contacts were worn) so I found the shop on this website and called them up for a quote. The quote I got was expected, 300 for parts and labor, but I wanted to shop around a little. Two days later I called them back, could I get in for that afternoon? Yes, they made time for me that day. So I brought the truck down and left it for them. They called me up with an estimate, only 200! Of course I said go for it, and an hour later they called me up saying it was done. Their hourly rate is steep, (roughly 100/hr) but they are very efficient with their time, coming in much less expensive than the initial phone quote. When I picked the truck up the mechanic who worked on it came out and showed me the worn contacts and talked to me about the repair. Very happy with their service!
