James Parkey is not the mechanic, but he is the Service Manager. He has been wonderful to us. Our GMC van usually costs under $100 for any repairs. It is a conversion van and therefore, has extra equipment that will give owners trouble. But James always knows what the problem is and gets the mechanics to do it right. We've only had to return for repairs after a considerable amount of time. The fancy indirect lights get pulled out by passengers, the 60% door jam acts up annually from normal wear. I had the van actually completely breakdown - no way was it going to move on its own. Called James, he got a tow truck out to me, took good care of us. We feared the worst, a $400 repair. Turned out it was some stupid little wire that had rubbed on the battery and the repair was $100 including the towing! On the other hand we have a 1984 Pontiac Parisienne that had less than 27,000 miles on it. Because of all the sitting it did in a garage, the Pontiac had a lot of "neglect" problems. James did everything to get that car running smoothly and like new for us. It didn't want to cooperate until it got the bill run up to about $2,000. The way we figure it is that the car probably would have needed that much work into it during the 14 years it sat. But James was able to work with us on the bill and he has finally gotten the car running like it did when new. James even cleaned the mechanics' "drools" off of the body. We have three Pontiacs and the GMC that James handles for us and I don't even have to give him my name when I call. I just tell him that "this is his favorite van owner" and James has a smile in his voice!
