The people at Castle Rock Imports are very honest, and I felt that they never tried to get me to agree to unecessary work. In my opinion, that is one of the most important characteristics in an auto shop.

Great Mechanic, conveniently located close to the Outlet Stores in Castle Rock. Tim is very honest, gets back to you right away and gets the car fixed as soon as possible. He did a great job on my VW Passat. Thank you, Tim! Dariusz

Tim (owner/manager) gave us some very helpful and forthright info on the used Jetta we had just purchased. Repairs were made quickly using only OEM parts. We found a trustworthy mechanic in Castle Rock Imports. Highly recommended!

We were in the process of buying a used car. We had located a dealership with two possibilities located in Castle Rock, about an hour from where we live in Boulder. We wanted to get the vehicles inspected before making any purchasing decisions, so we searched Cartalk.com for a recommendation on a mechanic and located this shop. They were EXTREMELY helpful and straightforward with us. They gave us the low-down on the dealership, recommended other vehicles that might be more reliable and still fit our needs, and worked to fit our inspection into their schedule on very short notice. They ended up giving us a thorough and detailed report on the car, including a list of things that would need to be done and estimates on cost. We had nothing but a great experience at Castle Rock Imports.

I needed to replace the head gaskets on my Subaru Outback (along with the timing belt, water pump, etc). I chose Castle Rock Imports over the 3 or 4 other shops I investigated due to the location convenience and Tim's forthrightness that he is not going to lowball me to get the job and then nickle and dime me to death at the end. Their initial price was the 2nd highest that I received, but I felt very comfortable that I would not receive any surprises at the end of the job. Tim quickly informed me of other potential issues with my car, but was not pushy or trying to scare me into getting the work done immediately (I do most of my own work and was already planning to tackle these issues). When I picked up my car, the invoice was exactly as I expected, which was a very refreshing thing- no surprises at all, except the ease with which the whole experience transpired! As an aircraft technician/inspector, I have very high standards regarding the quality and thoroughness of the mechanical work that I perform myself, or pay others to do. After I got home, I put my car in the garage and inspected the whole engine compartment top and bottom, and saw nothing but high quality work. I feel like my 200k Outback has a new lease on life, and I'll definitely go back to C.R. Imports in the future.
