Roger is one of those rare "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" mechanics whose work embodies his deep caring and intelligence. His shop is so clean that the town's fire inspectors use it for their training purposes. And his wife, Betsy, who deal s with all the logistics of running the business, makes the pain of dealing with car repair almost pleasurable.

We searched this site to find a good mechanic for both of our cars and found exactly that in Mechanic-on-Wheels. They correctly diagnosed an electrical problem the first time and then when way out of their way to find a 2nd hand part that saved us $100s. They were curtious and very friendly and helpful. Later when we needed body work, they referred us to BJs (See other recommendation) and that referral was just as good!

Mechanic On Wheels has worked on all of our cars, including a '67 Thunderbird, and has always done an excellent job. Betsy takes the time to explain possible sources of problems and their solutions. On many occasions, I've been able to fix a car myself based entirely on her suggestions over the phone. When I was searching for a classic car, Betsy steered me away from troublesome models and advised me on potential problems to watch out for. The owners have and maintain several classic cars of their own, and I've often seen others in their shop. Repairs sometimes have to be scheduled well in advance, but it's worth the wait.
