Terry is abrupt with a very dry sense of humor, probably never even heard of the Brothers M. Garrick is quiet, but fun and both know their stuff but also check things out when you tell them something's wrong. (They don't pretend to know ALL the answers ALL the time! )

Terry is the most knowledgeable, informative and respected mechanic I have ever met. I've always had trouble believing mechanics when they attempt to explain what was needed to repaire my cars. I was immidiately convinced he was honest the first time I took my car to him. He explaind the problem and advised me on other improperly repaird parts on my car-which I had no knowledge of-that could cause future problems. I now recomend his services to all my co-workers and friends so they can feel the care and comfort Terry gives me whenever I need my car repaired.

Terry has been our family's mechanic for something like twenty years. We keep his phone number on the emergency list--right up next to fire and police! He used to be part of Miller's Automotive over on Chapman and Harbor, but decided to move out on his own--and he hasn't looked back since. His customers all followed him; his only problem is the volume of people who vie for his personal attention! I particularly appreciate that he treats me, a POOR graduate student with a 1988 Honda Civic, with respect--and makes sure that no uneccessary repairs are made. He also helps me ensure that the car is maintained to avoid problems before they occur. I'm living up in Monterey, my brother lives down in South Orange County; but we both go back to Terry whenever possible, because we know he'll FIX the problem, and even more important, spell out in plain English what the problem is, and what the real options are. Terry doesn't just work on old Hondas; he keeps my dad's motorhome on the move (no mean feat, let me tell you). I wouldn't know about such things, but I often see fancy Lexuses and such in his shop when I'm there. Of course my dad's the one who can really tell you about the wonders of Terry and his shop, but he's not here--so this the best I can do to extoll his virtues.
