Sonny, the owner is the first mechanic I've used who really did explain the problem first and then how he solved it, using great detail. Being a woman, I've been condescended to more times than I'd care to remember. I first took my car to him 6 years ago with a mysterious squeak that my mechanic could not solve, even after numerous trips to his shop. Sonny located it and quickly fixed it. Since then, he has done every major and minor repair on my car and my husband's. If he can't find the problem right away, he admits it and doesn't give it back until it is fixed, and does so in a timely manner. He will always let me know if something does not need replacing, but only cleaning as in the air filter. He and his assistant are the sole mechanics, and this is Sonny's shop. He shared with me the fact that business has been slow, due to the economy and many of his customers are out of work. So I really want to see people read this and have his business pick up. He is a dying breed of independent mechanics who are truly honest and caring about their work.
