Small owner operated shop. Doesn't "sell up". Have had some moderate size jobs done. Fuel pump replacement, hydraulic cylinder on clutch, speedo cable, alternator replacement. In each case his prices on the parts were very competitive with what they would have cost me if I had decided to do the jobs myself. Have also been in a couple times with very minor problems, where I just needed correct BMW part (less that $2 item) and owner simply gave it to me (in one case installing for free as well). First time I went to him was to buy a part. He was looking under hood and pointed out a problem with a coolant hose that needed protection to prevent it from rubbing (and eventually rupturing). That was when I started going to him. The hose had been recently installed by another shop that was MUCH MORE expensive.

I was very impressed with Yung. I have had BMW's worked on over the years by BMW specialists in Santa Clara, Bakersfield and Fullerton, so I'm familiar with varying charges and explanations of what's wrong with the cars. His repair costs are very reasonable for the Bay Area, he showed his expertise and had quick answers to all my questions and even immediately saw a couple of others problems that I hadn't noticed. I highly recommend him. He is a one-person shop, but fixed the car while I waited. Fast service. Great!
