Virtually every time I've need to get an urgent repair to my 21 year old Datsun, Quint has been able to fix it the next day. As well as being able to rely on him to fix the car, just as important, I've been able to rely on him telling me what doesn't need fixing.

I own a Cadillac and an old Chevy pick-up truck and my wife has a new Honda. We bring all our vehicles to McGuinness Mechanics and they all get serviced. The prices are fairly priced and the work is explained up front . No additional work is done without your knowledge and O.K. The owner and head mechanic is extremely knowledgeable and so is his right hand man. They also do Smog checks . I highly recommend this shop. For a good job go to the right place, McGuinness Mechanics.

I've had really good experiences at this shop. The guy who runs it is smart and courteous and honest. One time, they took responsibility for something I'm not even sure they had a part in, and comped me for it, as well as comped me for a replacement bulb just for the heck of it. I regret not going back to them last time I needed service, but I'll be back soon enough...

I have taken several different cars to Quint over the years and have never had to worry about being ripped off and I'm always confident that I'm getting an honest assessment of my car's problem. I especially appreciated him holding my son's old Buick together until he got through college with any means possible at very little cost to me. As a woman, it means a lot to have this kind of confidence in my mechanic.

I've been talked out of having work done, and to this day i've never seen Quint make a mistake. When someone there has made a mistake, they have always taken the blame and made it right. On the other hand, if they find that the fix is something quick and cheap instead of the larger job, they don't try to make up the loss in anticipated work; the customer simply gets a lower bill than estimated. It's a win/win for the customer. It's a fantastic place to visit too, since they're relaxed and enjoying their work while getting the work done. And there's usually an impressive project car on a lift somewhere to dream about. If i can't handle the job in my garage, this is where i go.
