Adam Filipczyk is one of the owners and was very honest as to the items that my 1997 BMW 528i needed to be attended to. Prices are much lower than the local BMW dealer. The dealer charges a fee just to look at the car, even if you tell them what the problem is, this charge is in addition to the cost to repair the car, a real rip-off. Carrera Motors does not charge to give you an estimate.

These guys are absolute experts on BMWs, honest, reliable and highly recommended. I have used them for my '82 320i and now '92 325i for about 10 years. Several times, they have diagnosed a problem by phone and saved me the expense of towing. Recently, my car's engine wouldn't turn over and I towed it to dealer in Mountain View 1 mile from my house. The dealer kept my car for 10 days and told me it was a cracked cylinder head $5000 and probably not worth repairing. Dealer wanted $1200 just to open it up and check it. I called Carrera and Adam told me it's probably the water pump. I told the dealer this and they disagreed. I towed the car 20 miles to San Mateo and it was fixed overnight for $400 by Carrera!!! Even thought I live 20 miles away, I still depend on Carrera. I would not own another BMW if I had to depend on dealership.

Adam and Bogey (sp?) are very nice and competent mechanics. I've had my BMW in their car since I bought it, and have not been disappointed.
