I became a customer of Eddie's of Silicon Valley Performance when another honest mechanic (Jessie) referred me to him. Eddie is skilled and honest. He takes time to explain things and presents lower cost options to maintenence and repair work.

Eddie Smith is the owner. I got a 74 gtv which had a tempermental starting problem. Changed starter on my own, that worked for a while. But at times a vibrator type of noise manifested itself under the dash.. Then the car would not start... Tow trucked to Eddie's place, the damn started emmediately..Pissed-off frenchman en vitesse! Seat belt interlock relay gizmo fugazi placed by alfafa romeo for US market. No sooner that fixed Eddie found a bad relay to the starter..Fixed that. Split to the back roads to break a sweat, stopped to get an eclair in Woodside, the car would not restart..Tow trucked back to Eddies, wire shorted-out to relay. New wire later. All systems go. While in the shop I noticed a nearly new 164L sedan. What,s with with the pimpmobile?? Its for sale! How much? 6 grand! Whats wrong with it? Salvaged car, dashboard burned, took the oldman and I two years on the side to replace everything and the car detailed, did it for the WIFE.She did like it because it was my idea. I got a guy who's interested but cant find finance. So I gave him a cashier check for 62 hundred, Eddie told me that I had first dibs on the wheels. Two weeks later he called to inform me that he sold the car to the man for 6 grand. It was is first real car because his best friend had one. The car had only 35k miles. A short in the main power harness caused to start smoking,de car locked while original owner was unloading at SFO in front of the airline departure door. MERDE... Got to say that Eddie Smith is a good man. Waited for the guy to scrape up the money to buy his dream car.'cause the car was beautiful (if had not been with the shared platform with Saab wichnwere notorious for dash fires). Me I'm happy 'cause I can enjoy the road with a new alfisti as long as I can pass him.. Au plaisir de vous ecouter a la radio jacques Minvielle
