Sang is a great guy and a great mechanic. One by one, he has made fans of our whole family, each family member recommending him to the next. An example of the customer care that Sang gives: I was recuperating from an illness and couldn't pick up my car. My mom drove to the garage to deliver my check, and while my mom drove my repaired car back, Sang drove my mom's car back to her home. Pretty cool! *Do* ask for an estimate ahead of time, and be sure to price-shop around first because the prices have seemed on the high end, sometimes. Other than that, I recommend Sang.

Sang has been my mechanic for about the last 20 years. During that time, he has serviced 3 cars of mine(yes, I kept my '80 Corona LE for 27 years--thanks to Sang--and had a Honda as back-up. Now I have a Scion XB). I have referred many friends to him over the years (including out-of- towners)and they all consider him the go-to guy for cars, as do I. He's very honest (I recall telling him I thought I needed my clutch replaced on several occasions and and he'd tell me "not yet," he was always right), competent, timely and, frankly, a very appealing guy with a great personality. He was a pig farmer in Korea before he came here and built a successful business. The latest (2008) Bay Area Consumer's Checkbook rated auto repair shops in the Bay area. There were 4 shops in SF that got top ratings for both quality and price--U & I was one of them--quite a coup. With his typical modesty, he was unaware of that until I brought it to his attention. He hires great staff and oversees everything. I can't say enough about this guy & U & I. I was a little reluctant to write this because, like your favorite restaurant, you don't want it to get overrun, but he deserves the business.

Sang at U & I always treats me with respect and a bit of humor. He has worked on my father's cars for years and then inherited mine. As a young woman who listens to Car Talk on a regular basis, I can throw male mechanics for a loop. Sang always runs everything by me in a clear and affordable manner, and if I get confused or bewildered, he tells me to bring my dad by, and we can all go over it together. I feel safe in his shop, that I am not getting taken for a ride and that he truly has my safety first! One last thing, I drove around for a year and a half knowing I had a bad tire and bad alignment, and Sang never lectured me... instead he had me call my dad and bring him to the shop. Thanks, Sang.
