I've used Sam for many years, a very busy place, since everyone in the neighborhood knows he is honest. If money is an issue, he'll tell you whether a repair is necessary, could be done cheaper, or just "turn up the radio, and you won't hear it." It is usually best to leave the car for the day, rather than trying to push him into doing a repair "right now," since, as I said, it is a very busy operation. He also has a place on Ocean Ave which one of his sons runs, and Sam helped him train and set it up.

Plymouth Auto Center is at the corner of Ocean and Plymouth (across from the MacDonalds). There was a name change from Shum's a couple of years ago. It is operated by one of two brothers. Never had a problem with their service and most of the time they will comment if repairs do not have to be done.

When my son was in college and pretty broke with a bad car, Sam would sometimes charge him a fraction of the repair cost, often just what he was out of pocket. After Emmett graduated and bought a better car, we took it by Sam's. "Smart boy", he smiled. Mike
